The Holland Christian Home

he Spiritual health of our residents is vital to the Holland Christian Home as their physical and emotional well being. Our Spiritual Director or assistants are on-site seven days a week to provide pastoral care. They provide one-to-one visits on a regular basis and as special needs arise.
However, spiritual care isn't the job of one department at the Home. From the Board of Directors to residents and staff, God's love is shared. Whether it is through a housekeeper cleaning a room or a nurse dispensing medications, we want our residents to remember that God loves them and that they are still a child of the King, no matter what their age.

Spiritual care is woven in to the fabric of daily life at the Home, through devotions and prayers offered at every meal together and weekly worship services led by area pastors every Sunday. In addition, the Ladies Auxiliary organizes a mid-month worship service with the assistance of a rotation of local churches that provide their pastor to speak and refreshments prepared by ladies of the congregation. Bible Studies are offered twice a month in both the Mountain View Nursing Unit and independent residential areas of the Home for residents who would like to look deeper into scripture in a smaller group setting.
